This past Nov. Arthur Racing added to its stable a 2007 NASCAR Grand National Series 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo on a Hopkins chassis. Powering this car will be a NASCAR spec. engine. As we work to secure businesses who would like to take their opportunity to advertise with Arthur Racing in this series that has live TV coverage on HDnet, and coverage on SPEED. We also offer the opportunity for our fans to become a part of Arthur Racing, check our Marketing opportunities page for more info. As for Sat. nights at AIS we will also be seeking funding for selected races as Levi and Zach will be sharing rides in the Arthur Racing ASA Challenger Late Model.
Stay Tuned!!
Tune And Test Day 5/10/08

As Zach takes over the controls of the Arthur Racing #6 ASA Challenger Late Model from his brother Levi, (The #6 ASA Challenger Late Model will carry a new number for 2008 the #67) we took to the track for test and tune day at A.I.S. When the day ended the results were more then we expected! Zach really turned heads as he wheeled the Late Model with some impressive lap times in the low 17s to high 16s, with tires that were a year old already and had 5 races on them. But the laps times were only a small part of it, the way he handled the car was even more impressive, smooth and focused hitting his marks, the same qualities he used to win the Truck Championship in 2007!! So impressed was Paul Lyndaker (Owner of A.I.S.) himself who after testing stopped over and remarked how impressed he was at the way Zach handled the car!! So what's in store for Levi, Zach and Arthur Racing for 2008? With lack of Marketing Partners, the funding is not there to run a full season for Zach and the Arthur Racing #67 ASA Challenger Late Model or Levi in the Arthur Racing #65 NASCAR Camping World East Series car! But Arthur Racing will continue to field their cars as much as possible!

Adirondack Speedway 5/24/08

Our night at AIS was cut short in only just a few short laps of
the 50 lap feature race! We had a for sure top 7 car or better!!        Lacking in HP we make up in setup and handling. The hot laps plus the heat race gave some insight as to how the car was handling. We made our adjustments and we were ready for the feature race with high hopes of a great finish. But a few laps into the feature Zach was made aware by his spotter
"be carefull they are getting really stupid in front of you"
Then it happened coming out of turn 4 drivers wanting the same piece of real-estate collected several cars including the Arthur Racing #67 ASA Challenger Late Model. The car sustained extensive damage, both front fenders, bumper and bumper cover, lower control arm, swaybar mounts, shock, strut arm, radiator, and a bent front clip, The hit was so hard the engine moved forward 1/2" inch. Plus a few other smaller items. But most important our driver of the Arthur Racing #67 Zach Arthur was ok!! When will the #67 fill a spot at AIS again who knows! With this type of damage it will be an expensive task getting it back together.

With the Arthur Racing #67 ASA Late Model is still in pieces, Zach was becoming very restless to get back behind the wheel. So the decision was made to bring out the 2007 Championship #67 Arthur Racing truck from its retirement. Updates were made to fit the new 2008 Truck rules and we were set to race. While a few mentioned that it would be tough for Zach to compete with some of the newer trucks and drivers, Zach was confident that he could get it done! With a start in the back of the heat race Zach quickly showed that he and #67 arthur racing truck were  still contenders by winning his heat, giving him a starting position of 15th in feature race. With drop of the green in the feature Zach slowly picked his way to the front, and in the last 5 laps Zach found himself in contention for the win with his cousin John Sullivan Jr in the #5 truck. As Zach worked the rear bumper of the #5 truck for 5 laps, one thinks was this a kin folk race or a young gun holding off one of the best? I think it was combination of both! This one will go down in the memory books for us, good hard clean racing between kin folk. Our congratulations to John Sullivan Jr and his #5 truck on his first win, a win well deserved! Now another question comes up, seems like there is a pattern here! Levi and Zach Arthur both have that same Red Hot Irish Sullivan blood running though their veins as John Sullivan Jr does! All with better then normal driving talents compared with their seat time!

Zach with a top ten in the time trials gave him the opporunity to draw for the pole and and he got it!
With a car setup for long runs and lots of cautions and no clutch, zach did an outstanding job for his secound race in the asa late model with a 6th place finish.
Adirondack NCWES shake down and practice
Practice went well for levi's first time in the car. With the last run of the day in the 17 sec range. Most of it was to have levi get some laps in the car and learn the transition from the late model to the NCWES car.

July 26th NCWES Race

Our first time at fielding a NASCAR Camping East Car was exciting and yet at the same time we were a bit nervous!! But with Levi filling the seat, JC Stout spotting, Don Stout,Tom Page, Marhleah Irwin and us crewing and lots of prayers, we had confidence that it would go well.  We had so many people stop at our pits and wish us well, from local AIS teams and drivers to DEI crew members, Mike Kelley from Matt Kobyluck's team, John Salemi, and others who I didn't even know. I was impressed by the class these teams and drivers have by stopping in and wishing us the best.  Duirng practice we encountered a leaking clutch coupling that cost us practice time. Changes were made to the car to loosen it up, but we never got a chance to practice with it. So practice was Levi's qualifing run and it was loose. With the car impouned and adjustments not allowed until after the drop of the green, Levi had to start the race with a very loose car. At the first caution Levi headed for the pits for Tom Page to make adjustments, WOW man was it fast! The adjustment made the differance between a loose car and a fast car, and it was fast, but JC kept Levi on a leash and together they focused on finishing the race. And that he did, he mixed it up with several drivers and finished 17th on the lead lap. An impressive run for a first timer with very little seat time in the car. As far as running more races in 2008 this will depend on Marketing Partners!

Thanks to the following individuals, race teams, and business who helped us build the car, loaned us or gave us parts, crewed for us, or gave us their racing knowledge and words of encouragement!

With a 12th postion start and on a used set of tires on a new tire night, Zach had his work cut out for him. Zach with his smooth driving, his outstanding ablity to hit his marks and stay focused and finish races gave him a 6th place finish!!
